Festival Celebration in Gondal

             Gondal is multicultural city. in Gondal, majority of the people follow hinduism and muslims. so, everyone celebrates most common festivals of hindus and muslims. as india is a democratic country, it can be also called ‘unity in diversity’ too.
                    People of Gondal's are celebrate festivals like holi, janmasthami, navaratri, diwali, muharram, ramzan eid, bakri eid and more..

1. Diwali 
                    Diwali festival comes with the New Year for Hindus and people celebrate by doing Maa Laxmi Pujan. People clean and paint their houses and purchase new clothes to wear on New Year's Day. And also people can buy business dairy for upcoming year.
                   

2. Navaratri


Navaratri is the festival of ‘Garbas’. This festival is celebrated for 9 days. Tonight girls and boys together play ‘Garbas and Raas’ till late night. It is the festival of Goddess ‘Navdurga’. Mata Ambe,  who rides a Lion, has a special reverential status with any  highly religious Gujarati.
 
                                   

 3.Holi   
                Holi is the festival of colors. People forget about their religion and play with colors together. Holi strengthens the feelings of the brotherhood. This festival makes the whole environment colorful and joyful.



4.  Muharram ,Ramzan Eid, Bakri Eid


                   Gondal's people are celebrating Muharram is New Year of Muslim. Muslim's also celebrate Ramzan Eid and Bakri Eid.        
 

 5. Uttarayan-Makar Sankranti

                              People also celebrate Uttarayan-Makar Sankranti on 14th January by flying kites from their terraces.


6. Janmastami Mela

                         The 'Janmastami Mela' organizes by for Six to eight days at the SangramSinhji grounds to celebrate Janmastami. Peoples are celebrate Lord Krishna's birthday.


     


                   Peoples are also celebrate festivals like Ganesh Utsava, Ram Navami, Mahavir Jayanti, Shivratri, Christmas  etc.
